Paddle ‘n’ Ski Hadspen Race Series 2 March 2021

A high water level with basically no flow greeted paddlers for this weeks race. Jethro made the most of a long break with a big win and a 200s personal best. Richard Pearson was next over the line with a 53 s personal best, squeezing past Bill on the finish line, by less than a foot, who also managed a 58s personal best. Jo and then Chris were next over the line together with Jo about a boat length in front both with around 5 s personal bests. James and Claye had a great race against each other with James getting home first by half a boat length. Richard came down from his course record from his last race, coming home a few minutes behind that time.

Thanks to Jo for sending the earlier paddlers off and allowing me to get a paddle in before the race as well as during. Race times are below.

Guntime for next week will be at 6:30 pm, (for those new to handicap racing your start time is you handicap after 6:30 pm, ie 13:50 handicap starts at 6:43:50). If you miss your start time you can still race, have your time recorded and score points. New paddlers will be able to set their handicap time. If you are starting more than 20 minutes after your handicap you may be asked to race a shorter course to ensure on water safety.
