This year TCC is running monthly trips on Grade 1 and 2 rivers near Launceston; so called “Under 3 Trips”.
They are intended to provide more opportunities for white water beginners and intermediate paddlers to develop and practice their skills.
Under 3 Trips will be on the Sat or Sun of the first (suitable) weekend in the month.
Suitable sections of river include:
• Meander R below Meander
• Mersey below Parangana Dam (Echo Valley)
• Mersey Rogers Bridge to Dynans Bridge
• Mersey below Railton Rd
• Forth R at Tas Canoe Club slalom course
• Ringarooma below Derby
• North Esk below Corra Linn
• Longford Weir
• Hadspen Rapid
The venue will depend on water levels at the time.
Intentions for the weekend will be posted on TCC-Paddle-Flash and Facebook on the preceding Thursday evening.
Leaders will be on hand to facilitate a safe experience.
Non-members are most welcome. They pay a nominal triallist fee on the day ($10 for Seniors [≥18yo], $5 for Juniors)
