Paddle ‘n’ Ski Hadspen Race Series 11 February 2020

A great night on the water with a big turnout, higher than regular water and some higher flows to match. Paul was back in the boat with a huge PB knocking almost 4 minutes off his time trial to take the race win, I was second over the line with a 1 minute PB after a good battle with Paul. Phil Nelson was 3rd (30s), James 4th (19s) followed by Geoff in 5th with a big 2:50 PB from his TT. April was 6th over the line after performing a rescue. Liz managed a 25s PB off a late start, while Richard also managed a 54 s PB off his traditional long handicap. We also had Jo and Terry back for their first races of the season. Thanks to Beth for timing the race, much appreciated. Race results are below.

The race for points winner is also heating up with Beth, with her timing bonus taking the lead with Phil Nelson and Amanda in striking range with 4 races left for the season.

The end of year BBQ including presentation for points winner and prize draw from our great sponsors, Paddle ‘n’ Ski and Stellar Kayaks Australia, will be held on Tuesday March 17th.
