Paddle ‘n’ Ski Hadspen Race 10 November 2015

There was rain, rain, rain; on a wet and windy night 17 foolhardy (maybe hardy fools) set out for the Hadspen race with the water level high it was set to be a quick night. Dave got across the line first, knocking 2:20 off his previous best in a great paddle, Dylan made good use of starting with a group of time trial racers and worked with them to knock nearly 2 minutes off his time. James managed to hold off a fast finishing Phil Nelson with both knocking about 2 minutes off there respective bests; while Jozina was a bit further back knocking around 1:45 off her best. Tom snuck over the line in front of Alex, both with around 30 seconds improvement. While Mark rounded out the improvers with a 10 second PB. There were a few close to PB’s with Geoff, Colin and Claye all within ten seconds. We also welcomed Tim Chilcott for his first Hadspen race and Andrew Howell and James Down back for their first race this season; all were looking slippery.

Thanks Phil Barratt and Amanda Chong for sitting out in the rain and timing us, it is much appreciated. Results from this week are below.
