Paddle ‘n’ Ski Hadspen Race 5 March 2019

The final handicap race for the season was a fast one with nine personal best paddlers and a big group not to far off. April led the way, leaving nothing left for next week knocking nearly 5 minutes off her previous best, Jo was next over the line with an impressive 1 minute improvement. Angus just held Beth off, both around 40 second improvements while Mike powered past myself and James in the dying stages to break through with around 10s personal bests. Next over the line was Phil Nelson narrowly in front of Ken Mclean, then Chris Bates just ahead of Phil Barratt who held out the fast finishing Geoff. Noel was next over the line followed closely by Jono rounding out a group of 10 paddlers to finish in a 38 second span giving the jon on the timer a lot to do. Claye was next over the line followed by Duncan (in a 3 minute PB), Oscar was next followed by Richard (30 second PB) then Jethro who was doing some polo practice on his way around and Jon Knox in a slalom boat to round out the race.

A great turn out of 20 paddlers for the final handicap race of the season. Thanks to Jon Purtell for timing, race times are below.
