On a bit of chilly night we had a large group of paddlers turn up for a blast down the river, with 4 racers going out to set a time trial time, 15 handicap racers and another getting in to the swing of things in a new boat. With the wind behind us for the upriver leg many put on a great sprint off the line. Geoff put in a great paddle knocking two and a half minutes off his time (and looking more stable) to take the race win, while Jozina missed her start time but put in a big effort to make up for it and knocked almost three minutes off her time from last week. With a total of eleven paddlers (Geoff, Claye, Colin, Mark, Phil, Richard, Dane’ & Adam, Bill, Paul, Jozina, and Tom) getting personal bests it looks like we are in for a long season of improvements, great job guys.
