Paddlers were greeted with a strong upstream wind and Trevallyn dam backed up to the wier reducing the current to a minimum, leading a few paddlers to have the upstream part of there race be the faster part. Chris was first back, crossing the line 3 seconds faster than his Best. Phil Wadley was closely followed by Phil Barrat, Adam was couple of boat lengths back from them with John, Geoff and Claye coming in after that.
