A great night to be on the water with a light breeze blowing and a great turnout of paddlers. April had a great paddle knocking more than 2 minutes off her best to take the race win, Jo was second over the line with a 70 second improvement, Liz was third with a 20 second improvement on her best. Great paddling. The leaders were followed with a bunch of four paddlers who had a solid battle around the course. James and Paul were slightly slowed helping in a rescue while Phil Wadley hung around with the rescuee for a while to provide some support. While Claye discovered that his pre race warmup was hampering his race speed while getting a quick pre race paddle in. A great night on the water.
The end of year BBQ including presentation for points winner and prize draw from our great sponsors, Paddle ‘n’ Ski and Stellar Kayaks Australia, will be held on Tuesday March 17th.
