The final race of 2019 was held in fine weather and with a great turn out of paddlers and spectators. Claye sent the paddlers off in a couple of groups and a good race was had with Noel, Mike and Phil Nelson battling all the way to the finish line. Thanks to Chris and Jethro for assisiting in the rescue of Phil Barratt whose sneaky race tactics backfired leading to a very rare swim.

The race was followed by the end of year BBQ, with many stories told and paddles planned a great time was had by all. Thanks to Amanda for organising the BBQ and to Mary and Beth for cooking some cakes for afterwards. We will be back on the water in the new year (January 14th).
