Paddle ‘n’ Ski Hadspen Race 7 March 2017

The final handicap race was held on a beautiful night for a race with a light upstream breeze and pleasant temperature. James set a cracking pace and was able to come away with the race win and a 1 minute PB. I was next over the line followed by Richard reasonably closely about 10-15 seconds better than previous times. Phil B and Jono were next over the line, Phil just missing a PB and Jono about 20 seconds down. Paul Walker just got past Claye on the finish line both around a minute behind their best. Tim and Duncan were next over the line about 1:40 and 3 minutes down. Geoff was next after a swim at the eddyline crossing on the way up followed by Paul Clarke who swam in the eddy basin when he was looking at a solid PB, apologies to Paul for barely missing a stroke as I checked if he was OK. We also welcomed Yann back to the races with a solid time, and also welcomed Tom to the race series.

Thanks to Phil Nelson for timing. Race times are below.
