Paddle ‘n’ Ski Hadspen Race 28 February 2017

Geoff MacQueen crossing the finish line

A hot day turned into a good race night, with a good turnout it made for some close racing. Geoff worked hard to come away with a 36 second PB and to get under the 35 minute mark. Duncan got another 30 second PB followed by Phil Nelson at one second under, followed closely by Tony who equalled his best. Jono pushed hard in the second half of the race and just held Claye off, both just short of PB’s. Phil Barratt was comfortably over the line 25 seconds behind his best, Paul Clarke laboured over the line after towing me over the last 400 metres with Tim closing in pretty fast. Paul Walker was a bit off his normal pace, while Richard paddled well off his extended handicap. Mark paddled beforehand and wasn’t feeling up to his usual speed.

Thanks to Mark for timing, race times are below.
