After a nice warm day the weather set in for the race with rain starting just before the race began. The water level was still reasonably high with Poatina still in operation giving a good workout on the way up and a hard sprint back. The leaders in the points race made the race there own taking out 4 of the top 5 spots. Phil Nelson was first over the line with an impressive 88 second improvement; Colin was next with a 81 second improvement. Amanda knocked 56 seconds off her best, while Bill was 51 seconds better, April was 27 seconds better, Pete was 20 seconds faster, and Tony sneaked over for a 1 second improvement. Geoff, Michael and Richard all just missed their best.
