This weeks Hadspen race wasn’t actually a Hadspen race. Due to an excess of water at the Hadspen site we moved onto Trevallyn dam and done a 4 lap circuit around the buoys in the Northern section of the dam with a race length of around 5.2km. The weather wasn’t particularly kind to us with a brisk wind across the dam giving the triangle course a crosswind, an upwind, and a downwind leg. A good battle was fought out at the front between Michael and Phil for the race win. Simon and Colin had another good battle over most of the course. Amanda and Jozina had both had enough of the course before finishing, completing 3 and 2 laps respectively. We will back at Hadspen next week assuming the water has dropped and not left any nasty surprises, keep an eye out for an update on Monday. Thanks to Bill and Pete for timing, it is much appreciated; times are below.
