A beautiful night for a BBQ was started with a pesky paddle beforehand. A shortened distance for some but increased pain for others, paddling an approximately 850m loop up to the first bridge and return for a total of 30 minutes plus your final lap. Some good battles were hard particularly Mark and Paul trading blows for the first few laps before Mark powered away on the final lap to take the overall race win. James and Ken had a good battle over the first couple of laps before Ken started to pull away towards the end. The lap times are below in the actual finish order.

We then finished the night off with a BBQ to celebrate the end of the year and make the halfway point of the season. We had a couple of random prizes from Paddle ‘n’ Ski and a few drinks and organised some future paddling.
The handicap competition table is below with Bill Williams off to a great start and some others closing in fast, with room for improvement from most. We will be back into the handicap racing of the 12th January 2016. See you all then.
