The third race of the season was held with a moderate breeze blowing up the finish stretch and again low water proving troublesome. We welcomed Phil Barratt back from his shoulder injury, he put in a reasonable time and provided some entertainment for those near him at the turn, by being unaware of the shallowness around the mark and nearly tipping himself out. There were some blistering times with Amanda Chong knocking 2:19 off her season best to come home with a win, James Caspar, Peter Lee, Paul Kelly, Paul Walker and myself also recorded season best times.
