Executive Meeting Minutes

1.         Open Executive Meeting:

The meeting was opened at 9:00 pm.

2.         Attendance:

John McCausland (Commodore), Peter Sebbage, Gavin Bye, Claye Mace

3.         Apologies:

Dave Chiam

4.         Minutes of last meeting:

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed as being a true and accurate record of that meeting.

5.         Business arising from previous minutes:

•  Canoe Polo boats: Canoe polo boats have arrived. Grant still pending.
•  Flat Water Racing: Next week, the final for the series will be held with nibbles afterwards.  Racing will start again on 18^th January 2011 and end on 1^st March (end of daylight saving) when canoe polo will start again.
•  Canoe Polo – Summer Series: State championships was good.
•  Bosun/Hire: carried forward to next meeting. Thinking of splitting the boat.  John to sort before the next meeting.
•  Hawkins Rivers: carried forward. Pete Sebbage to organise before the next meeting.

7.         Correspondence Out:

Annual return lodged.

8.         Treasurer’s Report:

The Treasurer’s report was accepted.

9.         Bosun/Hire Report:

Nil

10.      Canoe Polo Report:

Canoe polo pool hire basically sorted, aim to get a contract in place for next year to clarify things.  Storage of polo gear at the pool can be arranged for $70 per annum.  John will make a decision on racking and get a price.

11.      General Business:

• Rolling Course: There was some interest in planning a rolling course. Pete to try and organise the numbers.
• Membership: Options to be offered

$70 – before December to end of financial year (senior)

$50 – before December to end of financial year (additional family members)

$40 – after December to end of financial year (senior)

$30 – after December to end of financial year (additional family members)

$10 discount for juniors (under 18)

Ben Lomond Descent membership – 1 month

The Executive Meeting was closed at 10:10 pm.

13.      Time and Location of next Executive and General Meeting:

Next social meeting – first Tuesday in March at 8:00 pm.  Venue – Newstead Hotel

First Tuesday in February 7:30 pm (Executive), 8:00 pm (General).  Venue – Newstead Hotel
