The venue for Tamar Canoe Club meetings is changing to the Newstead Hotel!

Tuesday trivia night at the Cock ‘n’ Bull has made it too difficult to hold meetings there. The manager assures us that they’re revamping upstairs to include a space that we can use as a meeting room, and the work should be done in a couple of months. But in the meantime (and especially for the AGM in August) we need a better venue, so here it is:

Newstead Hotel (160 Elphin Rd, corner of Elphin Rd & David St), Tuesday 6 July at 8pm

We’ve booked the room on the left hand side as you enter from the car park. It’s got an open fire and is about 3 metres from the bar – what more could you ask for! (apart from all the tasty beers the Cock ‘n’ Bull has on tap).

People are welcome to come along early for a meal. Also we’d like to look at running a race series this summer. Anyone interested in this idea please come along to the meeting, or just let me know.
